As a father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Brendan was as kind and gentle as they come. He was an intellectual of many varied interests, a lover of nature, a caregiver, a dog enthusiast, and a witty & humorous man. I will miss my uncle so much, and will cherish the memories I have with him exploring the museums of Chicago, hearing him tell old family stories, listening to Irish music, and discussing life & literature. His loss is felt so deeply by his family and my heart grieves for Mary, Eileen, and Brendan III.

My thoughts and prayers for the entire family.
"May you see God's light on the path ahead When the road you walk is dark. May you always hear, Even in your hour of sorrow, The gentle singing of the lark. When times are hard may hardness Never turn your heart to stone, May you always remember when the shadows fall— You do not walk alone."
