Survived by her husband Kenneth F. Ball. Daughters, Dr. Kelly (Jeffrey) Stahl and Kimberly (Matthew) Smith, 2 grandchildren; Anya and Charles Smith. Her sister Sheila (Thomas) Retzinger Daughter of the late Philip and Marie Hanley Slattery.

She had her Masters Degree in Library Science and was a distinguished library consultant, winning both the Davis Cup and the Polestar awards.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to either the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite#250 Dallas, TX 75244 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
